Welcome to the Atherton State High School's website. Our site has undergone a major redevelopment as part of our school's constant improvement process.

Indeed, our school's motto, "Alis Aquilae" (On an Eagle's Wings), sums up the opportunities for the students who attend Atherton High.

We have a strong tradition of helping students soar to take their place as active members of society. As an educational centre of excellence, Atherton SHS works with its community to ensure that all students obtain the outcomes and future they deserve.

Our school’s excellence is exemplified through our Service Commitment. All students graduating from Atherton SHS will:

• Obtain an OP (Overall Position) and go to university
• Continue with further training (trade/TAFE etc)
• Enter full time employment; or
• Enter a negotiated field for students with special needs.

Our strong community links and excellent business and public support means that members of the Atherton SHS family have the best possible assistance to be successful, contributing members of our community.

The introduction of an on-site trades training centre, Tropical Tablelands Tech, is another example of the many fantastic things about Atherton State High.
