Recently six students from our Interact Club were actively involved in a two day Rotary District Conference in Mareeba. They attended presentations and participated in workshops on a range of Rotary projects including making sanitary packs to enable girls in third world countries to increase their attendance at school and the assembling of prosthetic hands for land mine victims. They also gave their own presentation on the great work our Interact Club has been doing so far this year. The weekend culminated in the students working late into the night at tables at the District Governor’s dinner for 170 guests. The highlight of the weekend was the presentation of the clothes donated by the Atherton High community to the Rotoract Club of Aileau in Timor Leste. The four suitcases of clothes we collected last term are now on the way to Mau Felo Primary School.
