On Friday over 200 teachers and leaders attended Atherton State High School to participate in profession development about the moderation process.  The aim of moderation is to collaboratively establish a shared understanding of achievement standards and how these could be expressed in a student’s work.  Teachers from Atherton State High School, Herberton P-10 and Atherton, Kairi, Walkamin and Tolga State Schools participated in an interactive session extending their knowledge of the various forms of pre, during and post moderation processes.  There will be various sessions throughout the year focussing on specific moderation forms.  We look forward to continuing the collaboration across the Atherton school cluster.
