It was another successful
year for Drama Clubs annual performance. This year the students presented Year
9 Are Animals by Richard Tulloch. The audience followed the journey of
Ellen, a beginning teacher, who had been given the most difficult class in the
school, Year 9 English. Laughing and cringing at different moments in
Ellen’s experience, the audience got an insight into the hectic life of a
teacher. Drama Club and their yearly
performance provides students with the opportunity to develop their acting
ability, have experience in production (rehearsals, tech run, bumping in and out)
and allows for students to work with other year levels. If you have a student
who is interested in pursuing a career in performance or has a love of acting
this is a fantastic opportunity for them.
Keep an ear out in Term four for auditions for next year’s performance.
