Congratulations to Mitchell Dennis and Jack Howard who have been invited to attend the STEM Horizons program for Year 11 students June 19 - 22.  The Horizons program is a collaboration with the Griffith University Eskitis Institute for Drug Discovery and QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute to extend science learning beyond the classroom. The boys will complete two days of laboratory experiences in state of the art working laboratories at the Eskitis Institute for Drug Discovery (Griffith University, Nathan Campus) and QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute (Herston). Activities are designed to be ‘hands on’ to actively engage students in higher order thinking and problem solving and provide links to authentic ‘real world’ science to enhance engagement and connection with possible careers.  Congratulations Mitchell and Jack - we wish you all the best with this outstanding opportunity.
