Last week an enthusiastic group of ten highly talented Year 9 students attended the annual Tablelands Maths Camp at the Tinaroo Environmental Education Centre.   The camp has now been running annually for 24 years.  Students immersed themselves in three days of maths problem solving and team challenges as well as some fun activities to continue to develop their love of mathematics. The camp is attended by students from schools across the Tablelands with the goal of students from different schools getting to know each other and challenging each other.  This year, from Atherton High the following students were invited to participate;  Kailey Stroud, Eloise Peden, Jordan Dennis, Rose Overland, Stephanie Armstrong, Riley Vallance, Finn Sturman, Zoja Lulaj, Alyce Draper and Holly Sopronick.  All students enjoyed the experience and greatly expanded their maths skills.  A huge thank you to teacher, Kelly Heidenreich for supporting our students.
