On Friday the 28th of July, Zeal Theatre Company Queensland brought their acting talents to Atherton State High School. Students from years 8-12 Drama viewed two fantastic performances, The Apology and Viral (which students of FTNM also joined). These political theatre performances held up a mirror to society to make students question their actions and the actions of others. Many students had not viewed this type of theatre before and left the auditorium buzzed and bursting with ideas that they could use in their own devising.  Drama students from years 10, 11 and 12 also participated in a workshop run by the actors. Students explored how to create character through movement and devising performance using multi-character roles. Following this, they spoke to the actors about their experience in the industry and university and job options. Students thoroughly enjoyed working with the actors and the actors commented that they were impressed with the talent of the students.
