We are proud to share that our school was recently selected to take part in a special project led by Dr. Doug Fisher’s team as part of the Thought Leader Series with the Department of Education. This series, delivered at the Brisbane Convention Centre during March 2025, followed on from the highly successful statewide online modules presented to schools in Term 4, 2024.
As part of this initiative, a series of videos showcasing Belonging and Engagement practices in Queensland schools was produced. Atherton State High School was showcased in this space, and we were honoured to have our work captured and shared with educators across the state. The filming, which took place in Week 5, highlighted the dedication of our staff and students in fostering a strong sense of belonging and engagement in learning.
We are incredibly grateful to our team for their ongoing commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment and extremely proud of our brave students who participated in the filming andd we are thrilled that there will be several further videos made from the footage taken at our amazing school.
